Common questions

Where do the images come from?
Straight from YouTube. Every video has thumbnails in up to five sizes; we show the ones that exist and download them directly from YouTube to your device.
Why is there no Full HD version?
YouTube only creates the 1280×720 thumbnail for videos uploaded in HD. Older or low-resolution videos top out at 640×480 or 480×360.
What do you save?
The videos you look up (id, title and channel) are kept for this browser so they show under Recent, tied to an anonymous cookie — no account. You can clear them anytime.
Can I use the thumbnails anywhere?
Thumbnails belong to the video’s creator. They’re fine for reference, previews and personal use; ask the creator before using them commercially.

How to use it

  1. Copy the video link

From YouTube, use Share → Copy link (Shorts and live links work too).

  2. Paste it

The thumbnail appears right away, with every size the video has.

  3. Download a size

Press “Download” next to the size you want — Full HD is the sharpest when it exists.

  • Use “Copy URL” to paste the image link somewhere else.
  • Your recent videos show on the right for quick access.
